This page describes the cookies C3 Research sets and what each one is used for. We do not sell personal data, and we do not store your IP address or raw browser user agent in any of these cookies.

Visit cookie (24 hours)

A short-lived cookie identifies your browser for up to 24 hours so we can count page views and Request Research button clicks. It stores only a random session identifier; no IP address or user agent is stored alongside it.

Referral cookie (30 days)

If you arrive from an affiliate’s link, a cookie records which affiliate link brought you here for up to 30 days, so that affiliate can be credited if you later pay for a report. Alongside the affiliate identifier we record the referring site, a coarse device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and country. We do not record your IP address.

Payment session cookie (30 days)

Connecting a wallet to pay for a report sets a session cookie, valid for up to 30 days, so your connection and in-progress payment survive a page reload. It stores a session identifier only, and is not used for tracking across sites.

Card payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Paying by card uses the same payment session cookie described above. We also give you a recovery code for each card payment and keep only a one-way hash of it, so the code can move your payment to another browser and cannot be read back from our records.

All sales final. Failed or undelivered audits get a free retry credit.

Affiliate sign-in cookie (8 hours)

Signing in to the affiliate program with a wallet sets a sign-in cookie, valid for up to 8 hours. It is set only for affiliates who sign in, stores a session identifier only, and is not used for tracking across sites.

Public totals

We publish two running totals for C3 Research on C3 Research and Asgard Agents: the total quoted USD price of paid audits, and the number of paid audits completed. Free audits are not included. These are totals only. They contain no wallet addresses, transaction ids, email addresses, report ids, token names or anything about a single customer.
